I spent a fantastic day with Joe in his amazing atelier. At first, Joe asked me to describe my ideal sound and when he got a good idea about it, he started looking at my mouthpieces, he worked on it, I tried and gave feedback, he worked again through small, very precise and skilled adjustments and at the end I had two mouthpieces that produced a much improved, more full, “resonating” and tuned sound especially in the second octave where my sound was thin. It was an amazing process!
