This unmarked piece is really something: one of the best copies of a great Riffault mouthpiece I’ve ever played or seen. And Riffault soprano pieces are legendary.

There is virtually no baffle. The piece plays with that French focus, instant response (# 3 Marca American Vintage reeds) and a great sound. It’s something like a warmer, fuller Selmer S80 as far as playing goes.

Made from a quality resin, it feels and plays like hard rubber.

The facing is perfect and this is a steal. There’s a cushion on the beak which can be removed.
