I acquired this beauty and put it right: flat table, pure, crisp facing. Now it plays like butter, really. Manyother brands bought their soprano mouthpiece offerings directly from Riffault for decades. Why? Because Riffault soprano pieces are just wonderful. The mold broke maybe 10 years ago, and there will be no more of them. But, they are around and they are sweet. This is being offered for a great price, too. Beautiful core sound, quick response, lovely low end and crisp high end. Not bright, not dark. Medium/small chamber that is perfectly balanced. An excellent piece for a doubler. It will blend well and it will sing in solo work. I can’t say enough about Riffault pieces when they are right, and this one is right.
