Rare Marbled Brilhart large chamber soprano moutpiece .050 tip

I jumped at the chance to acquire this mouthpiece because 8 years ago I had another one. While it is unmarked, it is arguably a Brilhart and one of the rarest of rare soprano mouthpieces.

One thing that is indisputable is this: it is now a phenomenal player. But it wasn’t when it arrived here. You can see from the photos that the piece is virtually pristine, and I think I know why: it was basically unplayable as it was. And I think it came out of the shop like that a long time ago. So, it went unplayed for all these years. I fixed the very bad facing and… it just exploded with a gorgeous sound and response.

I played it with # 3 1/2 Marca Superieure reeds on my Selmer SA III. Listen to the texture in the sound and the exceptional intonation.
