Forget the myth that the soprano sax is ‘ a beast”. Nonsense.
But…. there is a lot to know and to learn. But the fact is, the soprano is no more difficult to play than the alto or tenor or baritone. A lot of players will say otherwise, but.. it “ain’t necessarily so”. In fact, it’s not so at all !
In the LEARN section, you will find a lot of information about soprano saxophone playing and equipment. It all comes from my experience as a dedicated soprano player. It has NOTHING to do with style or genre or things that I like or things that I don’t like.
It has everything to do with things I know or things I suspect or things I can imagine. I’ll tell you which is which, as well, so you can apply your own experiences and see how they compare.
